About two years ago I received news that changed my life forever. That I was accepted for admission to the TCU Executive MBA program. It was an overwhelming to think about going back to school while raising two young children, working full time, and serving on the school board. It took a lot of prayer and hard conversations with my family, but I ultimately took the leap.
I started classes on my 33rd birthday, August 12, 2015. Now, I am proud to say that today, just about eight minutes ago to be exact, I wrapped up my final class of this program. There have been a lot of sleepless nights, missed soccer games, missed awards ceremonies, and so much reading! But the education that I am taking with me as I step off of the TCU campus for the last time before graduation in May, is the best that I could possibly imagine.
I also leave with relationships with my classmates that will last a lifetime. We have traveled the world, learned, laughed, cried, and gone through this incredible experience every step of the way together. This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but I am so incredibly proud and grateful for the opportunity.
Please, don't ever believe that it's too late to get an education!
